Public Images vs Private Images - What's the difference?

Modified on Tue, 12 Mar, 2024 at 3:17 PM

All images, regardless of public/private setting, can be used when creating artwork using the Realhub artwork builder.

The difference between Public and Private images comes into play when working with third party platforms, like your CRM or a portal multiloader.

  • Public images will feed to external platforms via API
  • Private images will remain in Realhub only and will be not feed to your CRM, ListOnce, etc

When images are first uploaded, they will all be set to Private. To make these images available for your internet portals or your CRM, you will need to mark them as Public.

Rather than marking each image as Public one-by-one:

  1. Go to List View
  2. Check the tickbox next to the first image you'd like to mark as Public
  3. Continue to tick each image you need to set to Public; OR, if you'd like all images to be Public, click the Select All button in the Tools module
  4. Once the relevant images have been selected, click Mark Public in the Tools module.

The same steps can be followed to mark multiple images as Private, if you no longer wish for them to feed to external platforms.
