When adding items to a quote or campaign, there are two options available:
- Order Items
- Custom Items
There are key differences between each, so it's important to know how each works.
Order Items
Order items are attached to Providers in the back end of Realhub and can be accessed only via a price list that the Realhub Support team have linked to your agency.
- Whether added directly to a campaign (Order New Item) or via a Quote, order items will appear under Pending Orders until they are Confirmed
- In order to send to a Provider, you must Confirm the order
- Artwork can only be attached to an order item (not a custom item)
- Order Items will appear on reports with the provider name + product details
- For agencies that have a two-way financial sync with their CRM (such as Box+Dice), the details of both the provider and the product will feed back to the CRM
Custom Items
Custom Items are used purely for quoting and charging your vendors, and are not attached to specific providers in the back end of Realhub. We can think of custom items as sundry / miscellaneous / ad hoc items.
- Custom Items cannot have artwork attached to them. If you need to create artwork (e.g. board, brochure, social media tile etc), you will need to use an Order Item
- Custom Items to not send email or order notifications to a provider
- For agencies that have a two-way financial sync with their CRM (such as Box+Dice), the name of the custom item will feed back to the CRM, however no Provider information will be attached (often appears as "Sundry")
- Custom Items can be created ad hoc per campaign (Add Custom Item, or via Quote) by entering a name and price
- Regularly required custom items can be managed via Agency Admin > Custom Items and grouped together for reporting purposes
- Once added to a campaign, custom items will automatically appear under Approved Orders and do not need to be confirmed
